"GUSTY GOPHER"

In 1976, a mascot came to the Games in the form of a gopher. His name was selected as representation of the breezes that frequent Southern Alberta . "GUSTY GOPHER" has become a symbol of our Games. A costume was designed and he makes appearances at the Games and other functions on request. A few years ago, Gusty was given a friend, Breezy, who is another gopher who makes appearances at the Summer Games!
